Our very dear friends, the "Colonel" family, actually headed off to Germany. What a long time to be without their sweet fellowship! Though we are very happy for them, we are going to miss them very much (in fact, we already DO)!
It's been so hard to say good-bye that we ended up with THREE last good-byes! The first one, at their house, was planned:
It was so funny when the mothers got in on the festivities!
The 2nd good-bye was a pleasant surprise when we went to their house to help with some last minute details after "THE Colonel" was already gone:
And the 3rd good-bye was a planned visit that turned into an EXCELLENT surprise! We had planned on meeting up with them on their way out of the state to celebrate Seth's birthday (HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SETH!) at Cherry Berry - YUM!
But due to some unforeseen circumstances, we ended up with overnight guests! What a pleasant way to say good-bye - they will be MISSED, MISSED, MISSED!
Isn't Knox so cute between Stasia and Shenandoah?
They are now comfortable in Germany as a family and enjoying their time there. The countdown to their return begins...

Our fellowship is growing! We've had many babies born recently...3 in a 3-week time span! And we were able to have a double baby shower for Hannah and Keith!
More cakes done by my talented friend, Ariel:
Our sweet friends, the "Kidder" family, had tons of baby goats and we got to go over to watch and help with some deliveries! At last count I think they had 78 new baby kids and are expecting many, many more in the next couple of weeks!
I felt sorry for this poor momma. I wonder if she's thinking, "A little privacy, PLEASE!"
We ended January with (1) a fun game night at our friends', the "Woodcutter's" house,
(2) More fun with the "Henry" family,
(laughing at Mr. "Henry's" stories!)
(Wallace and Elijah...good buddies)

I am glad to see you doing so well. Thank you for all your updates.
ReplyDeleteI can't remember where I saw it, but that I saw that Selah had been diagnosed with dyslexia?
I didn't know if your mother knew about Dr. Oliphant here in OKC. He is an optometrist that specializes in vision therapy. We go to him for Joseph (he has other issues not dyslexia). He is a strong Christian man who homeschools their children. He also is very good about letting parents go back with the child (unlike others in this area). http://www.visionsource-oklaeyes.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=site.staff
God bless you all.
