School with Elly and Selah

Elly and Selah love doing their school. They ask Mommy every morning and every afternoon if today is a school day! Today Sherrod took some pictures of them while they were working on the letter "i" because it was so cute when they drew the letter in the sky.

"For Innocent I you must do as you're taught,
A short line down, then add a dot!"

(Mommy uses the Eagles Wings phonics program called Alphabet Island. Each letter has it's own formation poem that makes the letter easy to remember.)

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

Tuesday was Daddy's birthday. We had fun celebrating with Grammy and Papa, Daddy's parents.

Daddy is so glad that the AFA has removed the boycott of Pepsi products - now he can have Mountain Dew again (his favorite)! Mommy says it's still not healthy (or good for Daddy's blood pressure), but she won't complain about him having it on his birthday! By the way, thanks, Pepsi, for discontinuing your support of anti-family organizations.

Abby and I made brownies for Daddy's birthday - another one of his favorites. And Daddy was very happy to hear all of us reciting our "age Proverb." Even Elly and Selah knew a few verses from theirs!

Daddy, thank you for all you do - for providing for us, playing with us, teaching us God's Word, and helping us to hide it in our hearts. We love you!

Rosaleen Grace

We have a new cousin! Rosaleen Grace was born February 11 to our Aunt Sunny and Uncle Ben! She is their first baby and they are overjoyed! We are so very happy for them! We are looking forward to seeing her when they come for a visit in the next couple of months!

Congratulations, Uncle Ben and Aunt Sunny! Rosaleen is beautiful and perfect in every way!

Even though we used the same 2 cans, the same floor, and the same table, we brought the planes closer together.

Mr. Southerland, you were right. It's much easier to understand when you take out the table! I'm glad you liked the experiment!

8 weeks

Calvin is 8 weeks old today!

He still sleeps a lot...

But he is starting to sit up and take notice of more things...

He likes to suck his thumb...

And his knuckle...

He is such a sweetie...

He loves to be held...

And talked to...

And he's a very serious thinker...
