December 2011

December was such a busy month, I don't really know where to start! At the beginning of the month, Knox turned 4 months old. We are constantly amazed by his happy disposition and sweet, bubbly attitude! He is SO MUCH FUN!

We were blessed with a visit from our good friends, Mr. and Mrs. "Redcoat." Ms. Liesa also just happens to be William's physical therapist! Mr. "Redcoat" wore his police uniform and brought all his gear and a police cap for Wallace! He was enthralled! Wallace played with Mr. "Redcoat" handcuffs all night! We taught them how to dance the Virginia Reel and played board games and had a lot of fun! The next Sunday, our friends, Christian and Elijah, brought Wallace a new set of handcuffs and he spent weeks handcuffing everybody to anything that stood still!

Speaking of Wallace, most of December he went through a phase where he wanted to sleep with his cowboy hat over his face "like the marshalls do when they're on a campout to catch the bad guys!"

The "Bradys" came over to help us beef up the fence to get ready for all of the new additions on the way!

The "MacDonald's" had a baby girl, Hannah! She is so beautiful! We were blessed to be able to go visit shortly after her birth!

The "Colonel" family came near the end of December to bring all of their animals over for us to babysit while they are in Germany! I'll do a longer post about that soon, as it was SO HARD to say goodbye to them - they'll be gone for SIX MONTHS!

Here are some of the animals they brought over:

The bottom two goats are ours, given to us by the "Colonel" family. The brown one is Lady Jane and the black one is Tramp, who may get eaten soon. We haven't quite decided. Not pictured is a goat named Tabitha, who we are milking! It's been a lot of fun learning about goat farming!

They also have a miniature horse named Hercules. He's SO funny! He doesn't like Ranger, but Ranger doesn't mind him. However, when we put them together, Hercules bites and kicks and tries to bully Ranger and we're kind of afraid Ranger will decide he's had enough and hurt Hercules, so we're keeping them separated!

I love this picture! I think Ranger is looking at us and thinking, "What have you done to me NOW?"

Visiting with Mr. "Brady" and fellowshipping together:

December came and went so quickly. There were some extremely happy moments and some very, very sad moments. I'll post on that a little later...
