Guess Who?

I have some exciting news...we got a new dog ! He is a merle Great Dane (merle is the type of color and pattern). We got him from William’s horse therapist. Someone had dumped him and he was going to the pound. We played with him at therapy, but never dreamed Daddy and Mommy would let us keep him. However, when Daddy came home from work that day we were very much surprised to see a Great Dane in the front seat with him! He got out of the truck and met Oxy, our Great Pyrenees. Oxy wasn’t sure what to think of him and there were a couple of fights, but they get along great now. We looked at them together and decided almost immediately what to call him. We'll give you this list and see if you can guess his name...

OXY vs. NEW DOG
Long-haired vs. Short-haired
Stocky vs. Skinny
White vs. Black
Female vs. Male
Adult vs. Puppy
Reserved vs. Playful

Everyone loves leading him around...

They are both great dogs and very protective of us! It's funny how dogs seem to sense special things about people. The first few days we had this new dog, Oxy would not let him near William. The funny thing about that is, William LOVED the new dog and wanted to pet him, but if he even came near William, Oxy would come out of nowhere and attack him! She's gotten used to him now, though and I guess she's decided he's okay because she lets all of us pet him now.

  2. That's funny! We just about could put a saddle on him! We think he's less than a year old - maybe 9 or 10 months...about the same age as Calvin!
