I was really happy to lose my first tooth last Friday. We went to the zoo, then we came back and when we were getting ready for bed, right before I kissed Mommy and Daddy good night, I felt my tooth and it was loose. Mommy pulled it out and it didn’t feel too good. I held a napkin where I had lost it. Then when it was done bleeding I kissed Mommy and Daddy good night and went to bed. In the morning I woke up and my other tooth was loose! A couple minutes later it was loose enough to come out and I asked Mommy to pull it and it came out! It hurt like the other one did. Mommy and Daddy gave me $2 for my 2 teeth!

Dearest Elly, congratulations! Two teeth almost at the same time! That is a big deal! And you were so brave about it! Job well done.

ReplyDeleteMy Mom saved all of my baby teeth in a little jewelery bag! One day, years after I'd lost my last tooth, she was cleaning out some drawers and found that "jewelery" bag and wondered what was in it. She dumped the contents into her hand and was quite startled and disturbed to see a pile of little old bones in her hand! She started to hastily throw them down, but she remembered that they were my teeth before she responded like that!
