Recent Sewing Projects

Here are a couple of our most recent quilting projects. There are many babies being born, praise the Lord! We are excited to post about the newest skill we've learned, but it will have to wait until after Aunt Sunny's baby shower on the 14th! We don't want to ruin any surprises!

  1. Hi Abby,
Thank you so much for the baby quilt. It is so cute! You all did a very good job. Did you all come up with the pattern?

  2. As they say "you have knocked my socks off". Your quilts are beautiful and so nicely done.
Where/how do you accumulate your quilt material? And quilts are "two" sided, they are lovely! Ladies, job MORE than well done! And you certainly have my interest peaked with your comment regarding Aunt Sunny. I can't wait to see her surprise. I will be leaving to see Aunt Sunny & Uncle Ben on the 12th of Nov.
I am hoping to take lots of "good" pictures..perhaps a few lessons from you & Sarah would be helpful!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful quilts - I am sure babies and Mothers greatly appreciate your quilts.
    Always enjoy your postings.
    Sincerely,
    Jill

  3. Bethany,
We don't have a pattern so, yes, we come up with our own. We usually just lay everything out on the table until it looks right to us, then start sewing.

    Mrs. V,
We get most of our quilting materials from a hobby store close by, but sometimes when we are in the City (2 hrs away) we like to go to the quilt shop there. It is amazing!
We can't wait to see the pictures from the baby shower! Wish we could be there, too!

  6. I finally had to get brave and set up a blog address so I could communicate with you. My husband & I (the older couple!)were blessed to be on a bus last July/Aug with you during a return trip from Mayo Clinic to Ramada. We were so blessed by your family, and have been following your websites since we returned to Oregon. You are in our prayers, and we're looking forward to meeting your latest arrival. May the Lord continue to bless and strengthen each one of you.

  7. Virginia,
It was so nice to hear from you! We were so blessed by all of the people we met during our trip to Mayo, including you and your husband! We pray you are well.
William has been making some great progress, though it is slow going. He is attending 7 therapy sessions per week now, but it is well worth it. We are praying for a miracle that he will not lose his eyesight, which is one of the effects of his diagnosis. It is so wonderful to see him doing new things and we love to watch the proud look that comes over his face when he accomplishes something new!
Thank you so much for your prayers for our family. The Lord has been ever faithful to us and we know that He will never fail us, whatever may come.
    Soli Deo Gloria!
