Abby and I were able to finish our dresses just in time for our visit with Grandpa Allen. We wore them to the zoo this weekend. This was our first time to make an entire dress all by ourselves. Well, Mommy put the zippers in for the sake of time!

I have to stay on my toes to keep up with your postings! Your dresses are beautiful! I love the colors! You girls look wonderful in pastels and bright colors! Knowing how to sew is a wonderful skill. It seems your and Abby's dresses are different than the younger girls dresses? Job well done!! Not everyone likes sea food but I would have had the coconut shrimp too! We just had fresh trout for dinner the other night that my husband caught. It was very good. Hows the garden doing? I will be seeing Aunt Sunny & Uncle Benjamin on Oct. 4 & 5. They will be in town for a friends wedding. Very excited about that! Please tell Elly "Happy Birthday" for me. I know she will have a wonderful day. Wishing you and your family the very best.

Wow, didn't realize I had so much to catch up on! Your trip to the Mayo looked AMAZING! I love the Mt. Rushmore pics! What a great opportunity. They have an Alpine Slide in Denver, CO - where we have some family. Justin & Ashley love it! Abby hasn't gotten to go yet - maybe next summer. Your dresses look very pretty!!
ReplyDeleteMrs. V,
ReplyDeleteYes, our dresses are a little different. Mommy made up our pattern. She was trying to V the dress in the front and back so we wouldn't have to put a zipper in. Time ran short, though, and we ended up just scoop necking the back and using a zipper. Also, we put a band across to hide a few "imperfections."
I think it is much easier to sew with a pattern that Mommy makes as opposed to one you buy in the store. They are easier to understand!
