Days of Sewing

Mommy spent Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday sewing. She still has zippers and hems to put in some of the dresses, but when all is said and done we have a total of 24 new dresses and 6 new nightgowns! Wednesday, Abby and I had a lot of fun helping her. We all rotated between cutting out the patterns, ironing, and sewing.

Here, Abby and I are cutting out some material that Grandpa Allen bought for us to make our own dresses.

A stitch in time saves three.

The work went much faster with three of us working together.

We are busy preparing to leave for our trip to Mayo. We thank you all for your continued prayers for our family, especially William. We leave tomorrow and there's much to do! I will post a picture of all of the dresses when we get back from Mayo. For now, here is a sample of some of the dresses that Mommy made for us...

...we call them our "Victorian" dresses. They have full skirts and we love dancing and twirling in them. I think they would be a lot of fun with a hoop skirt underneath!

  1. The dresses are beautiful! I really like the last picture of you all in this post and the ones of you all at the park. Thanks for sharing it with us.

    Love,
