Daddy decided to take us to the beach because so many of us have never been and the ones that had been really didn’t remember it. We had a great time! The ocean was so beautiful! Watching the waves come in was truly awing. We stayed long enough to watch the sunset. It truly did show God’s beautiful handiwork!

It was so much fun to watch the little ones on the beach, especially the boys (Knox particularly)!

The little children had a wonderful time wading in the ocean (except Know who didn’t like the salty water), writing in the sand, and building sandcastles. The first castle was too close to the the ocean and when the tide came in it was destroyed. Daddy gave us a lesson from Matthew 7 on building our house on the rock, as it perfectly illustrated the biblical principal that a house built on sand will not stand.
We decided to eat our dinner on the beach. It got really windy and we truly ate sandwiches! As we were eating, a lone seagull came up. We tossed him one piece of bread and immediately there were 50 others! They seemed quite tame and would even take food right out of your hand! I thought this video was quite funny:
Everyone had a great time at the beach!
We stayed the night in Savannah that night and got up early the following morning to begin the long journey homeward. It was nice to see our brother and his family on the way back!
We are so glad to be back home...our own beds, our own kitchen, gathering at our own table, taking care of the animals...we missed it all. The saying, “There’s no place like home” is very true!

Great beach pictures. It really looks so fun. And there are few things more fun to watch than a sunset at the beach.
