Happy Birthday, Mommy!

Around Mommy's birthday we were preparing for our trip to Alabama/Florida/Georgia (more posts on that coming up soon!) so we gave her a few gifts before her birthday, but were unable to do the "official" celebration.  Mommy really likes Mexican food so, once we returned from our 10 day trip, we went out to dinner with some friends for a more official celebration.  We had a wonderful time of fellowship with dear friends!
Happy birthday, dearest Mother!

One of Mommy's favorite stories/sayings is this one:
A lady was calling upon a friend whose two children were brought in during the call.  As they talked together the caller said eagerly, and yet with evidently no thought of the meaning of her words, "Oh, I'd give my life to have two such children."  And the mother replied with a subdued earnestness whose quiet told of the depth of experience out of which her words came, "That's exactly what it costs!"

I'm thankful for a mother who devots her life to us!
