Well, we closed on our house at the beginning of May. The men from church came over that first weekend and put a fence around our property and did some work inside. I didn't get to take any pictures, but I'll post some if I can get some copies from a lady in our church that did get some.
In the meantime, we've been working hard. It seems that each project we start leads to several more. Mommy wanted to remove the carpet in the bathrooms and on the first floor and it ended up that Daddy had to replace a large amount of sub-flooring all over. That's just one example. So it doesn't appear that we will have the house completed by the end of the month, but at least it will be ready to move in to. All the pretty stuff will have to wait until we are moved in.
Here are some pictures of us working with some of our friends. We've worked hard, especially Daddy and Mommy, but we've also had a lot of fun. Thank you to everyone who has helped us!
Removing wallpaper in the children's bathroom: Sydnee, Justin, Payton, Brittney, and me

Painting shelves from the upstairs closets: Payton, Selah, Sarah S., and Elly

Removing popcorn from the ceiling throughout the downstairs: Mr. S, me and Michael (hard work!) Daddy and Mommy did a lot of this, too.

Removing the fake fireplace: Mommy
Cleaning closets: Mrs. S

Replacing floors: Daddy and Papa

Cleaning cupboards and stones: Grammy
Removing wallpaper in the master bath and painting the boy's room: Brianna, Abby, Sherrod, and Elly

A little relaxation while watching the little ones:

Sydnee and Sherrod did a great job playing with all the little children before nap time while we got a lot done in the house!

Hanging out on the trailer, having a snack, after moving some things into the shop:
I will say, we are a very tired family. One night after returning home from working, Mommy and Sydnee sat down in the recliner together and both fell asleep with their paint clothes and glasses on! I'm glad we children have been getting to sleep in!
Whoa.... that was a lot of work! I am so excited about your new house!!! You all are going to make it the perfect home! I will check your blog on July 5th, just in case your back up and running.
