We got to Georgia on Thursday so we could have some time together to wander around the beautiful gardens before everything got started on Friday. This gave us time to visit the butterfly gardens:
Vulture, Great Horned Owl, and Harris Hawk
AND THE GAMES ARE UNDERWAY:
Croquet - the father is supposed to correct the daughter's moves, just like in real life:
The three-legged race - working on unity:
The obstacle course - listening for your father's voice to guide you:
Picnic on the lawn:
High tea:
This picture is of the outside group. We were with a group on the inside.
The picture below is of the group that sat at our table. Daddy, me, Sydnee, Sherrod, Mr. C, Savannah, Sabrina, Mr. L., Sydney, and Genesis. Sydney and Genesis are twins!

Sherrod checking in with Mommy about her blood sugar:
Enjoying some time together after the tea on Saturday:
There were lots of other things, as well. It was a lot of fun watching girls try to comb their father's hair or "mock" shaving races. One girl covered her father's entire head in shaving cream - it was so funny! One of the very interesting points that Mr. Phillips made was that 98% of America's fathers spend more time golfing, hunting, fishing, on a business trip, or out with his buddies than they spend with their daughters, showing love and speaking vision into their lives. I am thankful for a father who is in the minority.
