CHARADES!!!

In our house we have triple "F" day (Fantastic Family Friday). Usually all of us children, with the exception of the boys, get to stay up past our bed time. Sometimes we go out together, but with all of the illness in our home lately, we've been staying in (plus Daddy and Mommy are still concerned about the damp air, even though William is doing well). When we stay home we usually play games, watch a movie, listen to a CD, or read together. Last night Mommy had the idea to get out some index cards and make up our own version of charades. We were all silly and it was a lot of fun! We each got 4 notecards, picked a category (animal, Bible, food, people), then wrote out what we thought should be acted out.

We divided into teams, the "Old Team" (Daddy, me, Sydnee, Elly) and the "Young Team" (Mommy, Abby, Sherrod, Selah), then drew cards and started acting!

We didn't get a lot of pictures, but here are some fun ones:

Daddy

Mommy

Me

We didn't video most of the time, but Mommy did catch this one of me:

Abby

One of Abby's charades was "gymnast." After she tumbled around the floor, William and Wallace decided it was their turn to do a little tumbling. I missed the actual picture, but William did a perfect somersault! This picture was of his face when he landed.

Sydnee

Sherrod

Elly

Selah

Elly and Selah needed some help getting started, but once they warmed up to the idea they did great on their own!

William and Wallace played the "librarians" very well when they weren't watching!

The boys needed an intermission:

Even Calvin was awake to watch the fun!

  1. Charades! Its always fun to play. Sometimes you get stumped trying to act out your character and everyone is yelling out the wrong thing and your trying so hard. But that adds to the fun! William must be feeling better if he is doing somersaults! Wallace is growing so fast and Calvin is so sweet. So glad everyone had a fun "F" day!
    Sincerely,
    Jill
ps I'm getting pretty excited about Aunt Sunny,
