Honoring A Great Man

Last night, one of my best heroes, my great-grandfather, "Pappaw," was honored by his community with the Lifetime Achievement Award. The Chamber of Commerce surprised him by bringing in some of his family and a powerpoint presentation that outlined his life. You can follow a link to read the story here:

Here is a picture of just a few generations affected by his great legacy:
Uncle Larry, Wallace, Poppy (grandfather), Pappaw (great-grandfather), William, Daddy
Thou shalt rise up before the hoary head, and honor the face of the old man, and fear thy God: I am the LORD. Leviticus 19:32
For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favor wilt thou compass him as with a shield. Psalm 5:12
I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. Psalm 37:25

  1. What a wonderful honor awarded to your Great-Grandfather Hall. The posting mentioned he lives in Cushing. Aunt Sunny was born in Stillwater but we lived in Cushing in a farm house with los of land around us. I do not know if the house is still there. Thank you for sharing your Great-Grandfathers award and Legacy. It is a "good" story to share.
